Daytime Population (67k, updated 3/30/06)

This is the first release ever of daytime population estimates from the US Census Bureau. The data set has several limitations. Primarily, the data show only workers age 16 and over who commute to work during daytime hours; commuting at other hours, or for other reasons (school, shopping) is not included. For this and other reasons, the data will not yield results similar to those obtained by calculating commuting patterns using the Census Transportation and Planning Package. Areas include the US, Kansas, Missouri, the MSA, the CSA, and Douglas County. Cities with either 2,500 workers living there or working there are included.
